An employee of Japan Tobacco International spoke at a side event at the UN-organised 5th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour in Durban, South Africa. The International Labour Organization remains listed as “non-executive advisor” to the ECLT Board, as of 2022. As of June 2022, the ECLT Foundation remains a member of the Child Labour Platform of the voluntary UN Global Compact (UNGC) Human Rights and Labour Working Group – for which the ILO provides the secretariat.
