PricewaterhouseCoopers Auditor PWC are Philip Morris International's current auditors.[9] Appointed at the 2017 annual shareholder meeting. In 2017 PWC were selected by the office of the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, European Parliament, to perform an implementation study on ‘track and trace’ solutions in the tobacco industry. A question was raised if there would be a conflict of interest since PricewaterhouseCoopers offers it's own "track and trace" solution already and would potentially be in a position to audit themselves.[10] 2019
